Abstract The study examines the financial performance and stability of multipurpose cooperatives in Cebu City, focusing on member participation, transparency, the relationship between the Board of Directors and members, and the knowledge of good governance. Descriptive statistics reveal that members actively participate and perceive the cooperatives as transparent, while the Board of Directors shares essential information and values members' ideas. Both members and the Board of Directors have proficient knowledge of good governance. However, correlation analysis shows an inconsequential relationship between independent variables (financial performance and financial stability) and dependent variables (a member's participation, transparency, the relationship between the board of directors and members, and knowledge of good governance), indicating that these factors do not necessarily impact cooperatives' financial outcomes.
