| Abstract | Teaching is a rewarding but challenging profession. Educators impart their knowledge and motivate learners to take the next step. It does, however, come with responsibilities and dedication because teaching as a profession is also challenging, as educators are prone to burnout due to heavy workloads and long hours of work. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the workload of accounting educators in Cebu City in relation to their burnout level. In this quantitative study, descriptive and correlational designs were used. The researchers assessed 20 respondents through convenience and snowball sampling. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the respondent's burnout and workload, and regression analysis and Cohen's D was used to assess whether the respondents' workload affected their burnout level. The findings showed no significant relationship between the burnout level of accounting educators and their workload level. The result indicated a new insight that the workload of an accounting educator in Cebu City wherein did not complement the results of past studies in which workload is a factor that is usually affiliated with burnout. |
