Inventory management is essential regardless of the organization's size, industry, or location that purchases or sells. Several papers discuss inventory management but need to focus on its associated risks. The significance of the study is to look into inventory practices and the risk
management applied by MSMEs. The study focuses on the MSMEs in the food industry within Cebu City, Cebu, as the researchers believe that this sector achieves the study's objectives. This paper also tackles the correlational relationship among inventory practices, some risk factors, and business longevity. It utilizes quantitative and descriptive methods thus, puts more emphasis on the "what" rather than the "why." The acquired data were from 55 respondents done through
surveys. Generally, FIFO and JIT were applied, and most respondents were unaware of the official terms of the used methods they utilized. Only one variable had a correlational relationship with business longevity.
