Core competencies are essential for professionals to maintain their skills, continue learning, and adapt to changes in the workforce. This study examines the competencies among professional accountants at different levels to help entry-level accountants develop their long- term competency. To achieve this goal, the study used the IMA Management Competency Framework and developed a researcher-made survey questionnaire distributed online to various accounting professionals in the private sector. 37 staff-level employees, 29 low-level, 20 middle-level managers, and 19 top-level managers, for 105 respondents, were asked to answer the questionnaire. Principal Component Analysis was used as the research instrument for the study. The results were analyzed and tabulated to develop an index for each level of management. The study's findings can provide entry-level accountants with insights into the most impact competencies in Strategy, Planning, and Performance Domain. As a result, they can focus on flourishing these skills to become competent professionals in the long run. Overall, the study contributes to the ongoing discussion about the importance of Strategy Planning and Performance competency and their role in shaping the careers of accounting professionals.
