| Abstract | In this current era of globalization, global competency (G.C.) is considered an excellent asset for graduating students. Hence, all universities, not just in the Philippines, should prepare their graduating students with enhanced global competence to compete globally in the work industry. Unfortunately, most universities have not empirically studied the theoretical structure of G.C. To address such; we created this study that measured the G.C. of the USJR's graduating BSBA-Human Resource Management majors, anchored on the PISA's Global Competency Scale for Graduates (GCSG). GCSG is a four-dimensional theoretical framework of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values. Eventually, we administered the GCSG online through Google Forms to thirteen (13) BSBA-HRM graduating students from USJR. Since there were only thirteen graduating students of the said course, all were chosen as the respondents. Lastly, we used the GCSG to assess the G.C. of the respondents. Thus, the following results were established: (1) The respondents' knowledge concerning global competency was manifested all the time; (2) The respondents' skills concerning global competency were manifested most of the time; (3) The respondents' values concerning global competency were manifested all the time; (4) The respondents' attitudes concerning global competency were manifested all the time. These findings imply that USJR can produce BSBA-HRM graduating students that are proven to be globally competent. |
