Cryptocurrencies represent a genuinely new development in the worldwide world of financial transactions. Traditional money was modified, opening new opportunities for financial institutions and commercial entities. In line with this, the research seeks to understand how Cryptocurrency is perceived as a digital currency in terms of its benefits and risks, and how these perception influence management decision-making. The study employs a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews with managers from the Philippines to gather data. The study reveals that these perceptions influence management decision-making around cryptocurrency adoption, with many managers taking a cautious approach due to the perceived risks that may lead to financial losses, exposure to theft, hacking, and fraud, forcing businesses to add security costs. The findings suggest that the total management system may be significantly impacted by having a complete understanding of Cryptocurrency, including its advantages and potential threats, as it is the main factor to consider when making intelligent decisions, which are essential for a firm to flourish. Additionally, adopting Cryptocurrency exposes the company to potential theft, hacking, and fraud because no rules govern them. If management cannot take action to lessen the effects of such risk, both of these have the potential to result in financial losses. In conclusion, upcoming researchers interested in cryptocurrency could use this study.
